PROJECT MANAGER
Heath & Sherwood (1964) Limited designs, manufactures, and supplies mineral processing and smelter-related equipment to both domestic and international customers from our headquarters in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. We are part of the Consep Pty Group, based in Sydney, Australia, with additional offices in Perth and Canton, Ohio. Working collaboratively with the Consep team, we operate in-house engineering, project management, and production departments, along with customer service and technical support. This structure gives us the unique ability to engineer, manufacture, assemble, test, and support our equipment.
We are currently offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated and energetic Project Manager to join our team in Kirkland Lake. This role is integral to the planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects and presents an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project management, engineering design, and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities will include, but are not necessarily limited to:
Assisting in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets
Collaborating with the broader team to define project scope, goals, and deliverables
Working closely with our engineering team to support design and development of project components
Facilitating communication among team members regarding milestones, changes, and updates
Engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and contractors
Participating in quality control processes to ensure deliverables meet specifications
Supporting design reviews and inspections
Working directly with clients to ensure their requirements and expectations are met
Coordinating with in-house departments, logistics, and suppliers to meet project budgets and timelines
Preparing regular reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually) for the management team
The successful candidate should have the following demonstrated skills, experience and attributes:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical preferred)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and perform under pressure
Strong customer service orientation and the ability to build positive relationships
Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications
Experience with Autodesk is an asset
Background in mineral processing is an asset
Project management experience is strongly preferred, though junior applicants will also be considered
