Recreation and Community Services Coordinator Temporary/Fulltime

Salary Range: $20,000 - $40,000
The Town of Englehart is seeking an energetic and community‑focused individual to support the planning, delivery and evaluation of recreation and community programs. The ideal candidate brings enthusiasm, and initiative to foster connection and delivery positive results.
The position will engage and foster connections with residents, volunteers and local partners to identify opportunities, create programming and activities and the delivery of service, programs and activities related to the department.
Eligibility
- New entrant into the workforce, transitioning to a new career or unemployed or underemployed and entering a new field;
- Have not previously participated in NOHFC’s People & Talent Program;
- At least 18 years of age
- Resides in Northern Ontario
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
Qualifications
- A Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Recreation, Community or Sociology is an asset
- A minimum of one to three (1-3) years of progressive relevant experience
- Work experience in a Municipality is preferred
- Work experience in a staff/supervisory role is preferred
- Proficiency in report writing, proposal/grant applications as well as knowledge of available resources and funding programs is an asset
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other software tools
