Personal Support Worker
Location: Joseph H. Kennedy Public School
Start date: August 31, 2026

District School Board Ontario North East is looking for a Personal Support Worker to provide support for a student with special needs at Joseph H. Kennedy Public School.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist the student with activities of daily living (feeding, lifts and transfers, skin care, oral hygiene, and toileting)
- Execute the student’s care plan related to the complex medical needs (proper established care for student in the event of seizures and other health related needs)
- Assist with medication related to student’s complex medical needs
- Assist in occupational and physiotherapy strategies as directed by school personnel and the care plan
- Continuously observe the student in the school environment (must report and document unsafe conditions and behavioural, physical, and/or cognitive changes)
- Meet the safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properly
Position Requirements
- Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate
- Criminal records check with Vulnerable Sector Screening that is less that 6 months old at time of hire
- Related experience with children with special needs
Compensation: Hourly rate $28.46
