Compensation & Benefits Information

·         Rate of pay ranges from: $65.09 to $76.14, as per the Ontario Nurses Association (ONA) Collective Agreement

·         Eligibility to enroll in the HEALTHCARE OF ONTARIO PENSION PLAN (HOOPP). Click on the link provided for more information - https://hoopp.com/

·         Percent in lieu of benefits and vacation percent pay up to 20% as per the ONA Collective Agreement

Qualifications

Education:

Certifications and Registrations

·         Registration in the RN, Extended Class in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario

·         Current ACLS and BCLS is required.

·         Certification in PALS, TNCC, NRP is required or must be willing to obtain.

·         Successful completion of the Canadian Emergency Nursing Certificate would be an asset 

Skill, Ability & Experience:

·         Registration in the RN, Extended Class in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.

·         Experience in Acute Care required

·         Emergency Department Intensive Care and Operating Room Experience is an asset

·         Basic ECG interpretation and 12 lead ECG application and interpretation preferred

·         Leadership, critical thinking, organizational and communication skills are required

·         Strong communication skills and ability to work with all members of the multidisciplinary team.

·         Expertise in developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with all members of the health care team and partner organizations

·         Self-motivated and life-long learner with strong health assessments and clinical skills

·         Capacity to adapt to a fast paced, dynamic work environment

·         Willing to assist in all clinical areas when needed, including in the Operating Room as the OR Assist

·         Committed to excellence in patient care

·         Self-motivated and commitment to excellence in patient care.

·         Demonstrated strong primary care clinical assessment skills to full NP scope of practice.

·         Must be willing to work a flexible schedule.

·         Must be willing to provide support to all other departments as required.

·         Must have valid Driver’s license & own transportation.

·         Bilingualism in English and French is preferred.
