Compensation & Benefits Information
· Rate of pay ranges from: $27.84 per hour to $29.79 per hour as per the SEIU-Clerical Collective Agreement

Job Summary:
The Timiskaming Diabetes Education Program Diabetes (TDEP) Secretary is part of a team which enables the organization to promote and protect the health of the population of Timiskaming through:
· Assisting in the quality of care through the management of accurate records and providing administrative support to all TDEP Clinicians on both sites.
· Assisting in implementation of communication strategies including social media and web management, creation of posters and visual presentation materials.
· Ensuring the accurate recording and retrieval of electronic data.
Qualifications:
Education:
Certifications and Registrations
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent.
Skill, Ability & Experience:
- Demonstrate ability to provide secretarial and clerical support to R.N and R.D.
- Two years clerical experience working in an office environment with emphasis on maintaining confidentiality, customer care, data management, organization and efficiency.
- Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills both written and oral.
- General knowledge of medical terminology and experience in a medical field preferred.
- The ability to assess competing priorities and to identify urgent matters needing immediate attention.
- Maintain professionalism and discretion with sensitive and confidential matters.
- The ability to work under minimal supervision while managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Familiar with various software programs including; hospital software, word processing, excel and database applications to create documents.
- English required, French an asset
