Cook/Housekeeper
1 Full Time Permanent Position
Qualifications
● High School Diploma
● Food Handler’s Course
● Current CPR/First Aid certificate
● Current and cleared vulnerable sector check
● Able to work a 7.5 hour shift Monday to Friday.
● Able to work extra hours as needed.
● 18 years of age or older.
● Access to a vehicle and valid driver’s license
Responsibilities
● Menu planning as per Canada’s Food guide
● Posting menus and any changes to the menu for parents.
● maintain standards of sanitation, health, safety, nutrition.
● Attend continuing education as available and required.
● Grocery shopping for the centre
● Organize and maintain the kitchen area. Responsible for cleaning the refrigerator,
freezer, cupboards & doors, stove, appliances, walls, floor, etc.
● Order/buy special foods as requested for classroom use, as approved by the supervisor.
● Prepare morning snacks and afternoon snacks for 3 classrooms.
● Prepare lunch for 2 classrooms.
● Prepare food for any special events the centre hosts.
● Wash all dishes & utensils after all meals.
● properly handle and store food.
● prepare and follow all dietary restrictions/allergies for all children
● laundry - washing/drying cot sheets/blankets weekly (or as needed).
● laundry - washing/drying all stuffed animals, pillows, etc in all classrooms
Position type: Full Time Permanent Position
Start date: as soon as possible
Starting wage: $19.60/hour, 37.5 hours/week.Closing Date: Friday Feb. 13, 2026.Benefits: 100% health, dental, etc. benefits after completion of probation period.
