Is seeking an
Accounts Payable/Cash Receipts Clerk (Full Time Permanent)
The successful applicant will be under the direction of the Clerk-Treasurer
Position Overview
The responsibilities for this job include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Front desk reception and general office duties
• Process incoming payments
• Reconcile daily cash flow and prepare bank deposits
• Maintain accounts payable system; process purchase invoices for payment
• Recreation centre bookings with appropriate applications and permits
• Issue and report building permits and demolitions
• Lottery licensing responsibilities
• Coordinate letters and contracts for the marina and Raven Park Campground
• Other administrative duties, as required
Hours of work: 35 hours per week
Compensation: To commensurate with experience and an excellent benefit package
Minimum Qualifications
• Grade 12 academic standing or equivalent.
• Post-secondary education in accounting, business administration, or finance is an asset
• Knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures for recording revenue and collections.
• Ability to be tactful, diplomatic, and sincere with the public.
• Must clear Criminal Record Check
• Municipal government experience preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel)
