Job Summary
The Public Relations & Fundraising Coordinator will be responsible for corporate communications and public relations for the Hospital and the Foundation. The incumbent will be the spokesperson for Blanche River Health Hospital Foundation in the community and will be responsible for planning, developing and administering a comprehensive and successful fund development program for the Foundation. The incumbent will also be responsible for establishing relationships and regularly soliciting major donations from individuals, corporate and other Foundation prospects. The Public Relations & Fundraising Coordinator will also provide support to the Medical Affairs & Physician Recruitment Coordinator with regards to public relations, marketing, community relations and other administrative tasks as required.

Requirements:
• College diploma and/or professional designation in Fundraising, Communications, Public Relations or related field
• Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) in business or related field preferred
• 1-3 years of experience in not-for-profit sector is preferred.
• Bilingualism in English and French is preferred.
• Evidence of continued growth and expertise through education and participation in professional fundraising activities.
• Demonstrated leadership and relationship management experience.
• Knowledge of gift processing and donor relations.
• Experience managing website and social media portfolios.
• Demonstrated ability to publish professional level corporate communications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and project skills.
• Ability to react and adapt to changing situations appropriately.
• Must be personable, articulate, diplomatic, friendly and persuasive.
• Ability to communicate in both official languages preferred.
• Must be available outside of regular hours as required.
