As a Part-Time Counsellor (Personal Support Worker) you will be responsible to maintain a safe and nurturing home and to assist each person develop to his/her full potential.

Remuneration: $25.96/hr

Qualifications and Experience:

Ø Minimum Grade 12 - DSW or PSW certificate or its equivalent in a related field is preferred

Ø Experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities is an asset

Ø Valid driver’s license

Ø Valid First Aid certificate

Ø Fully vaccinated for Covid-19

Ø Demonstrated ability in dealing effectively with challenging behaviours and situations

Ø Demonstrated ability in developing and maintaining healthy, professional relationships with supported individuals and colleagues

Ø Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills

Ø Must have the ability to work as an effective team member

Ø Must be able to make mature and sound decisions

Ø Must be able to follow agency’s policies and procedures
