McEwen Mining Inc. has four producing mines, located in Nevada, Ontario, Mexico and Argentina, and also has exposure to copper through its subsidiary McEwen Copper, owner of the large Los Azules copper deposit in Argentina. Mine Planner

Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, the Mine Planner’s responsibility is to to develop, implement and follow up on mine schedules and layouts that will allow the operations to safely and consistently meet the complex budget / targets.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Develop, communicate, and drive the weekly Mine Schedule - coordinate with company and contractors.
• Provide plans on how the mining block will be mined to Mining Ops – Drilling, blasting, backfilling; ensure that these are reviewed prior to handing them out; conduct follow-up.
• Draft development layouts - capital and operating; ensure that these are reviewed prior to handing them out; conduct follow-up.
• Optimize and revise service layouts - electrical, drainage, sumps, backfill.
• Provide accurate and meaningful data for analysis and planning purposes.
• Transfer data onto visual boards, ensuring that they are accurate and kept up to date.

Qualifications and Skills Requirements:

·         Valid driver’s licence and a reliable means of transportation.

·         Technical diploma or engineering degree in a related field would be preferred

·         1 - 3 years of experience in underground hard rock mining is preferred
