Responsibilities:

·         Support the RECE in the development and implementation of child-care programs that encourage physical, cognitive, emotional and social development

·         Provide a safe and stimulating environment that promotes creativity

·         Have the ability to communicate effectively with children, staff and parents /guardians

·         Assist with the observation of children to ensure early intervention of supports if required, and assist with the preparation of reports for parents, guardians or supervisors

·         Provide supervision to children while conducting outdoor physical activities and field trips

·         Assist with daily housekeeping policies

Qualifications:

·         Current First Aid/CPR Certification

·         Clean Vulnerable Sector Check

·         Have an understanding of child development

·         Eager and motivated to learn

·         Ability to adapt to changes in working environments and be flexible

·         Enjoys being outdoors and participating in physical activity

·         Available Monday to Friday, between the hours of 6:30am and 5:30pm
