The Corporation of the Town of Kirkland Lake is seeking a
Dietician
Contract / Part-time / Non-Union
Position Overview:
· The Dietician will assess the nutritional needs of residents as well as plan and implement approaches for correcting nutritional problems. They will also be responsible for maintaining records relating to resident’s nutritional care.
· Hours of work: 24 hours bi-weekly
· Compensation: $ 34.67 to $ 45.00 per hour (to commensurate with experience)
Minimum Qualifications:
· Completion of a Bachelor of Science Degree majoring in Nutrition or Food and Nutrition from an accredited University.
· Practical training in an accredited practical program in Canada or equivalent.
· Member of the College of Dietitians of Ontario.
· Minimum of 1 years’ experience, in long term care setting preferred.
· Advanced knowledge of medical terminology.
· Excellent knowledge of therapeutic nutrition and education techniques.
· Ability to lead, coach, and mentor.
· Experience working with word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently as part of the team.
· Sound judgement and problem-solving skills.
· Must clear Vulnerable Sector Check.
· Must have proof of COVID-19 vaccination or medical exemption.
