Workforce Inc. is seeking motivated and physically fit Carpenter Helpers to support our clients’ mining operations in Kirkland Lake. The ideal candidate would have a background in general carpentry and a willingness to learn and grow with the company.

Responsibilities:
- Assist carpenters with the construction, installation, and repairs
- Prepare and gather necessary materials, tools, and equipment for carpentry work, including cutting wood, measuring dimensions, and handling construction materials
- Help in the setup and dismantling of formwork, temporary structures, and work platforms for concrete and other building processes
- Ensure that tools and materials are properly maintained, cleaned, and stored after use
- Load and unload lumber and other materials, and transport them to the worksite as needed
- Follow blueprints, technical drawings, and instructions from supervisors or lead carpenters
- Operate basic hand and power tools, including but not limited to saws, drills, and measuring instruments
- Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment
- Report any equipment malfunctions, maintenance needs, or safety hazards to the supervisor
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve the goals of the mine site
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of carpentry and construction techniques
- Familiarity with tools and materials used in mining carpentry work
- Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy materials and work in confined or rough terrain
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and potentially hazardous environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- May be required to work in extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain
- Valid G class drivers licence and reliable transportation is required
- Working at Heights, slinging and rigging training would be a plus
Schedule: 7/7 rotation, 12-hour shifts, day shift
Pay Rate: $28
