The Corporation of the Town of Kirkland Lake is seeking a
ASSISTANT LIFEGUARDS
Part-time/ non-union

Position Overview:
• Under the direction of the Aquatic and Recreation Coordinator assistant lifeguards are
responsible to safeguard swimmers within a specified area to include prevention of emergencies,
maintenance of a safe swimming area, prevention through education, physical skill, knowledge
of rescue procedures, personal fitness, communication and teamwork.

• Hours of work: Variable hours, evenings and weekends required
• Compensation: $18.00

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bronze Cross Certification with the Lifesaving Society
• Standard First Aid with CPR certification.
